How we stay safe during COVID-19
We are taking every precaution we can while still maintaining as much normalcy as possible for our small students. For starters, we follow the guidelines set forth by Washington State DCYF. We have also gone above and beyond with additional measures. These include, but are not limited to:
Working with Seattle Children’s Hospital to have every Birch Tree Academy family tested at home, free of charge (when available).
Restricting access to the building to staff and students only.
Taking the temperature of everyone who enters the building with automated, wall mounted thermometers. Students are checked twice a day.
Mandatory masks for all adults.
Increased hand washing, cleaning and sanitizing. All classrooms are sanitized five times per day.
