A New Birch Tree Academy!

It’s official—a new Birch Tree Academy is coming to the Canyon Park area! We recently signed a lease for the space next to Safeway in the Lakeside at Canyon Park shopping center. It has been a long process just to get to this point. We have very specific criteria for a space and we looked at many, many potential sites before settling on this one. In this case, we were able to find a site where the building will be built specifically for our use—a first for Birch Tree Academy. The downside of that is that the space is just a grass field and with the time it takes to construct a new building, we expect the school to open in early 2024.
For Prospective Parents
If you are interested in potentially enrolling a child in the new school, you should sign up here (a form that takes about 30s to fill out). We will most likely be contacting families in the order in which they signed up when we begin enrolling classes. Given the large waitlists at our existing Bothell location, we do expect the younger age group classes to fill up the fastest.
Building a new school is an exciting and often stressful time. There will be fun things to talk about like interior design choices, looking at playground equipment and pictures of the progress. There will also be tough stuff like construction delays. Whatever the case, we will use this space to keep everyone up to date. Generally, when we have a new post, we will let you know via email (if you’re subscribed) and our social media feeds on Facebook and Instagram. Keep an eye out on one of those and you’ll be in the loop. Next up with be an FAQ with what we anticipate to be the most commonly asked questions.
